Were you at this year’s Arthur Calwell Memorial Lecture?

It was a memorable night with guest speakers Luke Hilakari and Mary Elizabeth. 

Luke Hilakari, Secretary of the Victorian Trades Hall Council, talked about the current industrial struggles our country faces and the lessons learnt from Calwell’s contribution to the union movement. Mary Elizabeth, Arthur Calwell’s daughter, gave a touching tribute with key highlights from her father’s career as Australia’s first Immigration Minister.
