My speech in Parliament on the passing of Fr Emmanuel Khoshaba

I spoke in Parliament to offer my sincerest condolences to Melbourne's Chaldean Catholic Community on the passing of Fr Emmanuel Khoshaba.

Fr Khoshaba was a pioneer. He will be remembered for the love and commitment he dedicated to the Chaldean Catholic Community in Melbourne.

Fr Khoshaba lived to serve his community; he cherished and loved his community and he ensured that their faith extended to their homes and day to day lives.

Fr Khoshaba founded the parish Our Lady Guardian of Plants - in the electorate of Calwell - where he served as its priest from its beginnings in 1982.

He was instrumental in the building of the magnificent new Cathedral of our Lady of the Plants in Campbellfield, visited by the Governor General General Peter Cosgrove with Mrs Cosgrove , for Sunday Mass in November 2016.
