I gave a speech in parliament on the bilingual poetry reading event I hosted for the book “This Intimate War Gallipoli/Çanakkale 1915” - the only contemporary Australian/Turkish book of poems on the Gallipoli/Çanakkale war.
The event was held at Ilim College of Australia in my electorate of Calwell, and I want to take the opportunity to thank the school deputy speaker for the use of their fitting venue as well as their help organising the event, in particular the Executive Principal Aynur Simsirel.
