I hosted a Settlement Roundtable with Tony Burke MP, Shadow Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, and Nick Tebbey, CEO of Settlement Council of Australia. We were also joined by service providers, and community members from the Calwell electorate.
This was an important opportunity, to discuss key issues concerning the relationship between settlement and employment services. Today's discussion highlighted crucial areas where improvements can be made.
In my electorate of Calwell, providing effective employment services for migrants and refugees is a pressing issue. I look forward to continuing a united goal, for better settlement and employment outcomes.
