My speech in Parliament on the Migrant Workers Centre, Brite Services and ethnic media

I spoke in Parliament about recent achievements and services that are important in my electorate of Calwell.

Firstly I want to recognise the Migrant Workers Centre, for assisting workers in understanding their work rights and providing specialist services. This is fundamental for my constituents who may face language and cultural barriers.

I want to congratulate Helena Gillies, chair of BRITE Services, for receiving a Lifetime Award at the Victorian Disability Awards, and Patricia Niceforo on receiving a 2018 Victorian Learn Local Award. Brite Services is highly regarded in my electorate for delivering employment services and training to people with a disability.

I also want to recognise Eugenia Pavlopoulou, senior journalist a NEOS KOSMOS, in accepting an award for excellence in the ethnic media from the Victorian Governor General. Ethnic media is important in my culturally diverse electorate to connect and report on communities' issues.
