At the same time the company will cut carbon pollution by reducing the energy intensity of their operations by 19%,” Ms Vamvakinou said. “This will be achieved by installing two 45kW solar PV arrays at its medical product manufacturing plants in Broadmeadows and Coburg. These changes are exactly the sort of practical improvements that the Labor Government is keen to support." The Clean Technology Investment Programs are part of the Labor Government’s drive to help companies modernise and take advantage of new technology to become more efficient and sustainable and more competitive. The Programs will help achieve real change through 582 grants, supported by over $300 million in Government funding approved to date, which has in turn leveraged close to $1 billion in total investment in clean technology around Australia.
