The online ballot for attendance at the 2015 Anzac Day Dawn Service at Gallipoli is now open – those who wish to go into the draw have until midnight on January 31, 2014 to apply at www.gallipoli2015.dva.gov.au.

More than 14,000 Australians have registered so far.

All Australians who enter have an equal chance of securing one of 7600 places available in the online ballot. It is not a case of ‘first in, first served.’

In total, there are 8,000 places on the Gallipoli Peninsula for Australians – 6000 for the general public and a further 2000 places for direct descendants, the veteran community and secondary school students and their chaperones.  Widows of World War I veterans will be invited by the Federal Government.
